Makayla the owner of Southerland Beauty Co, always had high hopes and dreams for her business as she began in the beauty industry. With still much to learn she had enough experience to know what kind of atmosphere she wanted to create for not only her clients but her salon family too. Providing top of the line service is important, but doing it in a beautiful, supportive, and loving environment where everyone can succeed is too. Makayla considers herself a' “southern belle” deep down with a deep love of the mountains, simple living, and good old southern hospitality. It became such a dream of hers to combine the things she loves with what she loves to do and be a vessel of support and encouragement to others along the way. Thus, Southerland Beauty Co was born and we are here to deliver beautiful work in the most kind and relaxing way possible. We can’t wait to meet you!

OUR SOLE PURPOSE IS YOU

Southerland Beauty Company is a Mr. Smith exclusive salon. Mr. Smith is a sustainable Australian brand infused with Australian native botanicals to keep your tresses nourished and beautiful in the most natural way possible. Mr. Smith is dedicated to style, substance and simplicity: style above all else, substance of ingredients – simplicity by design.

SALON POLICIES

We ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Appointments canceled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time will be charged a 30% cancellation fee. 

No show appointments will be charged 50% of the scheduled service and will not be able to rebook until fee is paid. 3 no shows from the same guest will result in the salon no longer being able to accept any future appointments. 

If you are 15 minutes late or more we will have to reschedule your appointment for another day and a cancellation fee will be charged. 

Hands down the BEST salon I’ve ever been to. I have been getting my hair and lashes done here for over a year now .Every single employee that works here goes above and beyond for their clients. They are all extremely talented! I love that they have become like a second family to me and my mom! Highly recommend to everyone! :)

I trust her 100% to do whatever to my hair. Tinia, does my lashes and does a FANTASTIC job. She takes her time, often checks to make sure I’m comfortable and they look so good when finished.

I highly recommend Southerland Beauty Company! The space is beautiful, clean, and well-appointed. All of the interactions I’ve had with the stylists were positive and I have felt very welcomed, just like part of the family! You can tell that the stylists enjoy their work and each other! I cannot recommend Baylee highly enough. I have been looking for a stylist since moving back to NKY for over a year but hadn’t found a relationship that clicked. From the time I walked into the studio, Baylee made me feel at home and was dedicated to making sure that I was thrilled with my hair! In our last session, Baylee found a portion of my color that she wasn’t quite satisfied with and made sure that the color was perfect. Baylee is very knowledgeable and is eager to work with clients to ensure they love their hair! You can tell this is more than a job for her, it’s a passion!
